Julien advises a wide range of nonprofit entities and social enterprises, and their financial sponsors. His work focuses on facilitating the ability, with legal and tax structuring, for these organizations to accomplish their mission, identifying opportunities for fundraising, tax mechanisms, governance and legal compliance.  

He advises social enterprises on a wide-range of operational and organizational matters, including establishing nonprofit and for profit affiliated entities, addressing governance, benefits, taxation, executive compensation, and corporate aspects related to their operations. He represented a variety of private and public companies on general corporate and transactional matters, including social venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions. He also advises on the negotiation of gift agreements, establishing social joint ventures, negotiating investment agreements, and evaluating related structural issues to support charitable activity in France and internationally.
